Spiderbeam active in CQWW CW - ED9M :

Its CQWW time again and this year Spiderbeam will be putting their antennas to the test in EA9 (Ceuta)!

EA9LZ, HA1AG, HA3NU, DL9USA and DF4SA will be active in the CQWW CW Contest operating as ED9M in the Multi/Single category. This is a temporary setup, we have arrived on Wednesday and installed two fully equipped stations using 2 Spiderbeam Yagis on 20-10m, dipoles on 40m and fiberglass/wire verticals on 80 / 160m. We will try to install a 40m Monoband Spiderbeam tomorrow, and are looking forward to working you on all bands! QSL via HA1AG. We will confirm all QSOs automatically via the buro.

Talk Show on HAM Radio :

All India Radio,Thiruvananthapuram will broadcast a talk show on ham-radio on 23-11-2010 at 07.30 PM in its Yuvavani programme. OM Allen, VU3AUZ and OM Joseph VU3DDE answer queries on ham-radio for the benefit of listeners. The broadcast is in Malayalam.

Ham Radio Receiver Workshop At KSSTM :

In continuation to the ongoing Hamradio classes ,a Reciever workshop will be conducted from 11-12-2010 to 13-12-2010 at Kerala State Science and Technology Museum premises.

OM Rama Prabhu Dev,VU2DEV, will be conducting the session. Hams and SWLs are invited to participate in this Workshop, as this will be a great opportunity to learn from and work with a home-brewing wizard like OM Dev. The project for this workshop is 40m JOTA receiver. At the end of the workshop participants will be able to take home a working 40m Ham radio receiver along with great experience and bundle of knowledge. Registration is restricted to only 40 participants which will be on first cum first serve basis.
