Ham Radio - Job :

Organization : Indian Red Cross Society.

Location : Gujarat State Branch, Ahmedabad.

Contract Period : January to May 10.

Salary : Up to Rs. 12000 per month (Consolidated).

Responsibilities :

• Operates and ensures upkeep of Ham radio station.
• Develop emergency communication system through use of Ham radios, and share information in line with IRCS communication protocols.
• Orients other team members in the operation of the Ham radio
• Maintains communication log.
• Reports emergency incidents as per written communication protocols.
• Support monitoring and review of built up, active and post emergency.
• Establish HAM station at various centers.

Requirements :

• Valid Call sign, preferably Grade I.
• Graduate in any stream.
• At least 1-2 years experience in handling radio equipments of different frequency (especially HAM radio).
• Skilled in training on radio operations.
• Experience of working at Emergency Operation Center desirable.
• Ability to work under extreme conditions.
• Red Cross experience desirable.
• Proficiency in English/ Gujarati.
